Turkish companies see great opportunities in Azerbaijan’s growth story

Baku, Azerbaijan, December 21, 2023 – Turkish investors are lining up to take advantage of Azerbaijan’s remarkable economic rise, with unique development opportunities emerging across the country. Goksel Asan, head of the Turkish Presidential Administration’s Finance Office, expressed the same view at the opening of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum.

“Despite the challenges of the occupied territories,” Asan said, “Baku and the rest of Azerbaijan are witnessing remarkable transformations.” This has made Azerbaijan the fastest growing economy in the region.

Asan noted that Azerbaijan offers a wealth of opportunities for those seeking to contribute to its economic and social prosperity.” He explained, “Azerbaijan welcomes foreign investors, while also encouraging its citizens to participate in international investment ventures.

Expressing optimism about Azerbaijan’s future, Asan concluded, “We are confident that Azerbaijan will continue to excel not only in trade, but also in all aspects of social and economic development. May mutual investments between Turkey and Azerbaijan be the cornerstone of sustainable and fruitful cooperation between our two countries.

The Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum, which opened today in Baku, is an important platform for exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two countries. Panels are planned on investment, trade, agriculture, defense, green energy and health tourism, while investment and cooperation agreements will also be signed. More than 600 representatives from the governments and private sectors of the two countries will take part in this important event.
